The San Antonio Tobacco Prevention & Control Coalition (SA-TPCC) is a multi-organization partnership supported by a grant from the Texas Department of State Health Services to deliver a comprehensive tobacco prevention and control program in Bexar County.

Some of our participating organizations include:

• San Antonio Metropolitan Health District
• American Cancer Society
• American Heart Association
• American Lung Association
• San Antonio Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse
• South Central Area Health Education Center
• University Health System – Texas Diabetes Institute

and many members of health systems and the San Antonio/Bexar County community.

Participation in the coalition is open to any interested individual, group, organization, or business.

Mission

To improve the health of all Bexar County residents by promoting a smoke-free environment and prevention and cessation of tobacco use.

Vision

A Smoke-Free Community - the result of a significant reduction in tobacco use, a successful social norming campaign, and increased knowledge and use of accessible, effective resources all spearheaded by an effective self-sustaining coalition.
